Review #29: Lost Lands 2026

LOST LANDS REVIEW 

Okay. This is gonna be some real ass shit. 

First and foremost, there is WAAAAAAAAY too many people there. I mean it’s BORDERLINE EDCO. I’ve been 9 years and this was a safety hazard. 

Medics could not get to the pit at prehistoric. People are standing in the WALKWAY. why the fuck doesn’t he have staff making people move????? Like you can’t block the path down into the pit????? 

The etiquette of this younger rave scene is ATROCIOUS. People are sweet but some people are out of their fucking minds. Dancing in the walkway while everyone is trying to move like????? I LIKE TO DANCE TOO, WAIT TILL NOT AS MANY PEOPLE ARE WALKING OUT. I SAW A GIRL DEADASS TRADING CANDY IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYONE WALKING. IS THERE LIKE SOMETHING UR NOT UNDERSTANDING????????? This was the walkway on the left side of prehistoric coming out of the bathrooms and passing the food during ATLiens. Iykyk. 

It takes you 20 extra minutes to move anywhere with how many people are there AND the mud was the cherry on top. 

They didn’t have enough resources for everyone at all. Camping was a shit show. Getting everyone in was a shit show. He should have sold less Tuesday early entry if he knew the weather was gonna be shit and the grounds were fucked. Like not everyone needs to get there Tuesday night. I got there Wednesday at like 2 am and I was in the fucking BOONIES. that’s crazy. All of camping filled up Tuesday night like what? Now I have to get here even early and camp in a shit show for longer.

Not enough showers in camps. Lines were ridiculous. They had to turn off the shower propane? Cut the line off. Do you know how fucking disgusting it is that people can shower after sweating and being muddy? 

They had one food stand near each camp section. It was a burger spot. Ours wasn’t open all weekend. So I had to walk 20 minutes to the village everyday for food. Day 2 hot asf. 40 min there and back for a grilled cheese. Day 3 it was raining couldnt  make it to the village. Then it stopped and it we were eating at chomp so I had to walk 45 minutes to eat something and in the heat. Lol. 

This isn’t anyone’s fault. I’m just saying we thought we got there early. AND we were suppose to get there earlier and some drunk dumb bitch THREW UP ON MY SISTERS FLIGHT. THEY HAD TO TURN THE PLANE AROUND AND DEPLANE. DELAYED 5 HOURS. this dumb drunk bitch was apparently going to lost lands. I would have ENDED a friendship over this bc no way I want to be around someone with 0 respect for anyone around them and the risk of me losing brain cells from that level of stupidity. 

Second thing I want to say is the amount of people that weren’t there giving their opinions on what people were going through just need to stop speaking. 

Let’s address the trash first. When I tell you that people’s campsites were DESTROYED. Full of mud. Full of water. Legit the grounds to the trash were disgusting. I piled all the trash into a pile but I legit couldn’t make it to a trash can. My feet were getting STUCK in the mud. Our cars were stuck. We had to then use whatever we could find to get grip on our car. Nothing worked. If you can think about it, it was under our wheels. We waited 5 hours for a tow truck to finally get us out. Thank god our flights were later. 

There was a fucking RIVER next to our campsite. Filling people’s tents with water. 

I am the first one to scream save the planet but Excisions team can AT LEAST clean up for us after what people went through. I didn’t even have it THAT BAD. 

People paid thousands of dollars to glamp and in both glamping’s by the end of the weekend were flooded. Some up to their mattress. Like…….they can’t even have shit in their cars cause they aren’t parked near their cars. 

People paid for hotels to not camp and were standing in a thunderstorm for 4+ hours to get on a shuttle. The shuttles were a fucking mess coming and going. TOO MANY PEOPLE. 

The south lot was FLOODED. People’s cars are under water. WHOS DEALING WITH THIS????

The trackers that were helping people were farmer volunteers I heard. The tow trucks were CHARGING PEOPLE $400. EXCUSE ME????? 

SO DID YOU NOT PAY TOWS TO BE ON GROUNDS WHEN YOU KNEW WHAT THE FUCK THE WEATHER WAS GONNA BE??????  

People are all over social media with a little thing I like to call delusional positivity. 

SHUT UP. 

YOU'RE NOT HERE. STOP SPEAKING. I WOULD LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVE TO SEE THESE PEOPLE GO THROUGH ANY OF IT AND SEE WHAT THEY ACTUALLY WOULD DO VS WHATEVER THE FUCK THEY ARE PREACHING. 

THEY WERE NOT PREPARED FOR THE WEATHER. THEY ARE BLAMING US???? EVEN IF YOU PREPARED HOW CAN YOU PREPARE WHERE YOU ARE CAMPED? HOW CAN YOU PREPARE FOR EITHER UP HILL OR DOWN? IF YOUR NEAR A FLOOD ZONE OR NOT??? IF THEY MUD STICKS YOU IN? 

I fucking FLEW. I’m sorry I can’t afford to fly ALL my camping shit with me. Some people have ZERO empathy and ZERO understanding of perspective. I’m fucking balling on a budget here for Christ sake. 

This brings me to the whole move the dates debate bc I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking about it. 

I vote move the damn dates. The weather next weekend is high of 72. Yes the lows are 45 but me personally and this is just MY OPINION the colder years at lost lands were better. It usually doesn’t rain too bad the end of September up there. Yes weather is unpredictable but in all my years of going the only other time it caused a scene was 2018 day 3 we had to leave the festival bc of weather. That night. And that year was the same dates. 

2017 was sept 29 - oct 1st. Magical. Freezing but magical. 

2018 was Sept 14 - 16. The worst fucking year till this year for me. Hot ASF. Evacuation Day 3. 

2019 was Sept 27 - 29. Fucking magical. It rained at like 5 am a thunderstorm for a little. No flooding. No mud. Cold. 

2021 was Sep 24th - 26th. This was the only other “mud lands” and it wasn’t even CLOSE to 2026. It only fucked everyone coming in bc it rained the days before leading up and they had to delay entry into camping. The rest of the weekend was fine. And cold. 

2022 was Sept 23rd - 24th. Perfect weekend. I think it drizzled once early arrival. 

2023 was Sept 22nd  - 24th. Perfect weekend. I think it drizzled a little day 3. 

2024 was Sep 20th - 22nd. This year was dry asf. Dust lands. 

2025 was Sept 19th - 21st. Hot asf. Rained day 3 for a little and they delayed entry into the venue. 

2026 was Sept 18th - 20th. Legit Mud Lands. Rain. Hot. Cold after it rained. Which is miserable. 

Do you see the pattern with the dates??? Or am I crazy???? 

When it falls in the teens it sucks. When it falls in the 20s it’s usually nicer. 

Forecast for the next weekend 25-27 is 68 the high and 45 the low. Sunny. Sunny from Friday on. 

Maybe I have no clue what I’m talking about but that’s been my observation for the last 9 fucking years bro. 2018 and 2026 sucked. Look at the dates. 

The bad news is the dates move up every year bc duh that’s how a calendar works so…… Next year it’ll be hot again and possible rain if he doesn’t move it. It’ll be the 17th -19th. I really don’t think he’ll move the dates but I really hope he does. Every year the next weekend is perfect weather. I don’t like the heat or the rain. Cold and sunny is awesome. I’d rather layer up than can’t sleep. 

Okay so that’s my Ted talk for the weather. 

So production was awesome I mean it is some of the best production at a musical festival I’ve see.  prehistoric was incredible. Wompy could have been a bigger stage fr fr. I liked last year wompy better. I liked the forest stage and I didn’t get to see subsidia. Raptor valley is nice too I was only there for a little. The village looked great too, I loved the grove as well. They need a bar over at the grove tho? Why no alcohol in the village? 

The new crater actually grew on me….my personal favorite was last years crater tbh, but there is not a chance in hell logically that makes sense anymore. Again too many people. They needed that area to be open. Lasers were fire everywhere. They kept those light up structures by the food. Fire. But last year’s crater was a vibe and a half. It just had a different energy. 

The bathrooms are so fucked. He needs waaaaay more bathrooms near the crater and the left of prehistoric. I mean there is wayyyyyy too many people for that amount of porta potties. I had to walk to the ones alllllll the way by the forest to go to the bathroom. Like let’s be so fr. More people = more resources. Like let’s get it together. They did however always have toilet paper. I will say that. 

Medics were for the most part on it. I did hear and read some shitty situations. Not being able to get into the pit at prehistoric is unacceptable. This girl was unconscious on a med cart unresponsive in the pouring rain. Like what????? We can’t cover her up???? Other medics were rolling their eyes when someone dropped and they were asked to go to them. My friends had to carry someone out of the fucking crowd bc medics couldn’t get to them. Again. Tooooooooo mannnnnnny peopleeeeeee. Do better. They need a medic down on the right of prehistoric. On the other side of the emergency exit. Also they can’t help if they don’t know. It’s LOUD ASF you can’t just stand around and call medic in the air. Like GO TELL SOMEONE. I ALWAYS run near someone when I hear medic. Sometimes I run all the way to medics. I’ve ran out of multiple crowds. You can even text LOST LANDS to a number. Idk it’s tricky bc there is sooooo many people. If you’re near the sides tell someone. Or in the back. 

Food was pretty good in the venue and outside in the village. Everything I ate I liked.

VIP looked over sold. I’m doing it again next year and I’ll see but looked bad lol. There’s just tooooooo many people. The experience is starting to be way different. 

No moon mats was diabolical. At least if they get fucked you could wash them. The couch cushions were nice. People still had wind couches??? Which again what’s the problem??? Yeah people shouldn’t have it in the pit but what the fuck is everyone suppose to do for 10 hours or more ???? People brought blankets. So my ass has to get wet to sit down? My pash is wet so I can sit on it??? This is fucking retarded. Moon mats are not a fucking tripping hazard? THEY ARE ON THE GROUND AND A MAT. YOU CAN STEP ON IT IF GOD FORBID YOU HAD TO????????? Literally makes no sense. And they were SELLING MOON MATS IN  THE VILLAGE. LIKE BRO. 

Merch lines are so ridiculously long. Artist merch moved to the village which blows. I’m not waiting from 11 am for hours for merch like what the hell is going on????????? one merch in the venue and it’s lost lands and excision I. The front. Like? No other merch in the venue really??? You guys can’t make more???????? Unbelievable. 

The village was awesome. So much to do. I saw them have a snake to hold. An arcade. Yoga. The dome. Places to take pics. Tons of food options. 

Showers were nice, but 24 hour showers were only by the village. Are you fucking kidding me???? So only everyone over there can shower whenever. Like what kind of fuck ass shit was that?????? I was a 30 min walk from that. Hell no. By the time I walk back I’m gross again OR if I do it at night it’s late asf. Like what??????????? Stupid. At least have one on one side of camping and one on the other. 

I feel like the evacuation logistics were ass. I was talking to the workers and he could have canceled it early. I’m glad he didn’t but right after the closing ceremonies ended. Lightning. Evacuation. Rain was a downpour. Thank GOD we made it back to camp before that. The tunnel got flooded. My friends were stuck at the crater for an hour. It’s just a shit show with this many people. They can’t use the emergency exits bc it needs to be for emergency vehicles. Makes sense. We couldn’t even get on weather apps to see what was going on. No service. 

Next year I heard he wants to make it bigger. What the fuck is this man thinking. You’ll have to expand not only camping which he already bought more land to camp. But brother ur gonna have to expand allllllllll of it. Stages and everything. Cause it is not doing good as of now with the amount of people. 

ADA was crazy. People legit rolling in the mud with their wheel chairs and getting stuck is insane. Can’t imagine crutches. 

We ate at Chomp. It was actually pretty good for a steakhouse at a music festival lolololol. They were a little behind but it’s good they weren’t doing late shows and canceling bc they were behind on reservations. The food was too pricey but overall pretty good. It was quick too. 

Some of my favorite sets were: 

Excision 2 hr. That was fucking awesome. Anyone who hates on this man is an idiot I’m sorry. He’s so talented and deserves it all fr. He has created so much opportunity for so many artists and if you don’t like him go SEE SOMEONE ELSE. I saw people saying he sucks like ??????? You chose to see him. It was unbelievable. 

Eptic b2b Lyny was fireeeeeeeee. I loved that set. 

Levity was insane. They really have come a long ass way. Really loved their set. OPENING WITH SCHOOL OF ROCK WAS EPIC. 

Zomboy was fire as always. 

Wooli was incredible. He’s come so far and blew it away. 

I saw a little of Liquid Stranger and he was awesome too. 

Know Good was really good too. 

Excision Detox was epic. I think the gender reveal was so sweet. That is such a badass way to do a gender reveal I literally don’t care what the haters say. ITS A GIRLLLLL

Alldat I would have enjoyed more if there wasn’t so many fucking people there. Miserable. Great set. 

Didn’t get to see Leveltronics bc wompy could not hold them on there so I didn’t even go over there bc it was packed. 

We saw illienum instead and he was great! I think he’s gotten lazy over the years like his merch was lame asf but I had a good time especially bc my friends love him and it was fun to watch them love it. 

Slander was great too. 

Whethan was awesome. He’s so damn good. 

Space Wizard too!

I just feel like i missed out on experencing a lot this festival has to offer because of the mud and the rain. It was hard to want to walk anywhere or do anything in the rain and mud lol. Sorry to sound like a priss but i just was beat guys. This shit was annoying me lololol. I just want to do one fucking festival thats just perfect. I feel like ive never seen this many get rained out and canceled all the fucking time????

Government controlling the weather?????????? 

This is the first year I’ve had so much to say and a lot of it is negative but I’m not gonna lie to you guys. I’ve seen it all. I had a fucking BLAST. so much fun. It was my boyfriend and my friends first time. We had a small group and it was a fantastic time. Lots of laughs. This festival will always be one of my favorites. It’s changing a lot and he just needs to keep up with himself. This festival is incredible it really is. I will be back for the 10 year anniversary but depending on how that goes I’ll be taking a break after that. Next up is another one of my favorites, HULAWEEN!!!! See you all real soon 🖤
