Review #19: Hulaween 2024

Hula review

Ugh, one of my absolute favorite festivals ever. The vibes are so amazing. It’s such a fun spooky time!!! 

The art is absolutely amazing. They did such a great job this year. Lots to explore and look around. 

Medics were on it, not a lot of medical being needed which is great! Hula is a little older of a crowd and not an edm fest so they have a more mature vibe going on. 

Staff was great! Everyone was so nice and knew exactly what was going on. Love to see it. 

Production was good, the amp couldn’t been louder in my opinion but everything was very well done. I love that they spread out the edm artist this year instead of everyone on Thursday and everyone on spirit lake. 

Finally made it to the river this year! Such a cool vibe, the water is freezing but it’s so nice. 

Tickets were very expensive. I get it, inflation and such. 

There is so much to do! The renegades were so much fun, I loved them so much. I love how dark hula is. It was just so fun. 

I got to go alone up there this year and have all my own stuff which was really nice to just worry about me. It felt good. 

They were shutting down the renegades pretty early this year. I guess that’s a new thing they’re doing. It’s a bittersweet feeling because I do want to go to sleep, but I also do want to Party so certain nights they have them longer than other nights. Wooksville did they silent disco though, which was pretty cool.  

The DEF stage replaced incendia was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. It was a 360. I do think that they should expand it next year because a lot of people were hanging out there for bigger artist. But it was so insane. 

The food is expensive but not as expensive as other fest. It’s like a couple dollars cheaper nothing crazy. 

I like Hula because it does have a vibe to it you aren’t really running around and they do have intermission in between the sets so it gives you a time to recollect yourself. 

All in all, Hulaween one of my favorite festival and I plan to go again next year. It’s always such a vibe and there’s always so much to do and you just chill and have a good time with your friends. I love your camping spot and you have to secure a spot. One of the most annoying things that people do is use caution tape. Again another love-hate relationship because I get it you want save your friends a spa but at the same time you’re saving people a spot not five which is annoying asf. I paid for early entry. Anyway, great time :)
