EDC REVIEW
I know you all have been waiting for patiently for what I thought of EDCO
Let me start off by saying that I was thoroughly impressed this year, and enjoyed it more than any of the previous years in a long time.
I KNOW. CRAZY.
I think due to EDSea being the week before a lot of people chose one or the other and since that happened Edc Orlando really was not as crowded this year as previous years. Don’t get me wrong. There was still a lot of people, but it really wasn’t as bad as last year or the year before.
That being said, I’m going to start by addressing production. The production of the festival was absolutely insane. Sound was good. Lights were awesome visual screens and the stages were all awesome. Every stage was unique and definitely was a vibe for each genre that played there.
The decorations were great they definitely brought the areas to life and everything had an awesome vibe to it.
Art Cars were both cool, the pixle forest was the same as last year, still could play video ames which was a nice feature.
I really enjoyed that they moved stereo bloom. It gave that stage a lot more space which was totally needed for it. I thought one entrance was going to be a hassle and while on days one and two I had to exit out that exit exit day three I found out that they had the exit near circuit grounds open and I use it that one day three. I wish I would’ve known about that sooner. I’m not sure if they did that day one and two but he definitely should have. There’s no reason why everybody needs to exit through one exit. Going into the festival was awesome and super smooth. Security was efficient and everything was on point.
Medics were definitely on it all weekend. I saw a lot of medical situations where medics were on top of it when I was walking out one night I said thank you to a medic and he said thank you and it was a really nice moment. The medical staff was kind and super on point.
GROUND CONTROL was once again very helpful and definitely was doing their thing to make sure everybody was okay. I really appreciate those people and everything they do. It’s super nice to know that they are out and about making sure that everyone is good.
Security was definitely intense this year inside of the festival. The cops were very present, and they were walking around a lot more than I’ve usually seen in the past. I guess that’s a good thing as far as safety, but definitely had to be more cautious this year of what was going on around you.
The only stage that I really had a problem with was neon garden, and that’s just because Dom Dolla and Fisher sets you couldn’t even get near. I think that if they’re going to continue to keep neon garden as the shipping grounds that they should definitely expand it to make more room because the headliners they have there are way too big for the area.
Bathrooms that I used by circuit ground always had toilet paper, and no lines if you walked to the back. They need to put bathrooms over by kinetic field or neon garden, like maybe in between the two because everybody from both of those stages going to the stadium bathrooms on that side is a fucking shit show.
The water fill up by circuit grounds was always accessible with no line. I feel like everything at circuit grounds was very easy to access. The water refill on the other side of the stadium by kinetic was a shit show.
The food was very expensive and not the greatest but that seems to be most festivals nowadays.
I was a little upset that they didn’t use the drones this year but the fireworks were pretty awesome.
Parking was super easy. I usually park a few blocks down from the festivals so it’s easier to get out although a lot of people did leave early the first couple of nights because they knew the one entrance was going to be crazy and it was but it’s still didn’t take me that long to get out. I didn’t end up taking 408 the first two nights. I ended up going all the way down to I four and the line to get on I4W was insane but thankfully I had to go I4E.
I didn’t get a chance to go over to the vendor Village, but it looked like it was under the tents again just a little bigger than normally. Which they’ve been doing for the last couple festivals I’ve seen from them.
The vibe was actually really good this year. I think the energy was awesome and I had a really good time. I think this really was due to the amount of people that didn’t go even though there was a lot of people there. It was still a lot less than last year.
I also went to Home Bass after on Sunday, and I just want to say that it was so awesome. I have never been there before. And it was so worth it tbh. I had a really good time. The only thing I would say is that there was no AC on the bottom floor.
So yeah, all in all Edc this year was awesome. I thought all of the sets were lit. I thought that the vibe was good and I thought that everything from decorations to production was awesome once more!! Definitely restored hope in this festival for me which was really nice because this festival is always a checkpoint for me!
Next festival rn for me is Sol Fest so not for a while!
