Santa Anna School
1870-1946
The following information is taken from a letter written by Leona Roesler who attended the Santa Anna School and taught there for five years.
“The school was named after the Mexican general Santa Anna, because Santa Anna had camped on the ground where Santa Anna School was first located in Bleiblerville.” At one point, the school was moved from Bleiblerville. There is a marker at the location of the school building located across from the National Cemetery on Cemetery Road.
