In response to COVID-19:
To our families,
First and foremost, I want to thank all parents and guardians for allowing us to take care of your children throughout the year; we have a deep appreciation for your support. During this school closure, I want to ensure that we are here for all families. As we navigate this shared journey of distance learning, our goal is to provide additional academic enrichment activities. Through these activities, I urge everyone to utilize this time at home and come together as a family. Though this format of learning cannot replace the positive in person interactions our members are used to daily, the ASES team remains determined to provide our youth with the best options and assistance to keep families safe.
The ultimate goal of our team is to ensure all members are prepared for further education: academically, socially, mentally, and emotionally. Each of our ASES sites has created grade-based content for all families to utilize. Please take the time to explore your site's page and make use of the content our Site Directors have prepared. All Site Directors are available via e-mail for any questions you may have.
The current situation continues to present our community with a variety of challenges, but I remain confident that together we can overcome these challenges with strength and perseverance. As a member of this community, I strive to see growth in all of our youth. I want nothing more than for my team to continue making impacts with our families and watch our members transform into well-rounded young adults. As we follow guidance updates from local and state agencies, I hope everyone continues to promote positivity and encouragement; children model our affect.
The children of our community will always be our number one priority. Please feel free to reach out with any kind of feedback you have with this site. Stay safe, take care of your loved ones, and know we as a community can overcome anything.

Welcome! The Boys and Girls Club of Westminster has been providing After School Education & Safety (ASES) Programs in the Westminster School District since 2002. This program supports families by providing a safe and educational after school environment through state grants. BGCW currently operates 6 ASES sites (5 Elementary and 1 Middle School). ASES students receive homework assistance, nutritious meals, and participate in activities that support S.T.E.A.M., leadership, sports, and other enrichment opportunities.
What is SEL?
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
Site Numbers and Site Emails are available for all ASES sites
