Hi! I’m Bethany Nichols, an Agricultural Education major with a minor in the Engler Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. I grew up in the Nebraska panhandle, where I developed a passion for agriculture and a love for working with students.
Through my experiences in agricultural education, I’ve discovered that my greatest interest lies in helping students find confidence, purpose, and opportunity through agriculture. Whether it’s in the classroom, through FFA involvement, or hands-on learning experiences, I enjoy watching students grow and succeed.
I am currently completing my degree through UNL’s Agricultural Education program and have had the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a comprehensive agricultural education program. From assisting students with FFA events to supporting hands-on projects and SAEs, I have been able to see the impact that agricultural education has on student development both inside and outside of the classroom.
My teaching philosophy is centered on building strong relationships, creating meaningful learning experiences, and preparing students for success beyond high school. I strive to foster a classroom environment where all students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow both personally and professionally.
This portfolio represents my journey as a future educator and reflects my commitment to meeting the InTASC Standards and ACTE High-Quality CTE Program of Study Standards. I look forward to continuing to grow as an educator and helping students discover their own passions within agriculture.
