This bnook is a sequel to Just Another Knife Crime, in which DCI Anna Davenport and DI Andy Lepage investigate the violent death of Nigerian student, Jibrilu Danjuma. It opens as his father prepares to return to Africa to await the trial of the killers. Fellow-student Esther Orugun approaches him to offer condolences - and learns something quite unexpected about the relationship between the victim's father and one of the investigating officers.

Fellow-student Esther Orugun approaches him to offer condolences - and learns something quite unexpected about the relationship between the victim's father and one of the investigating officers.
In the next chapter, we jump forward a few months and find Anna and Andy preparing to give evidence at the trial and the arrival back in England of the victim's father, while at the same time busy with a caseload of crimes to solve. One Saturday afternoon they are called to the death of another young man. This time it looks like a routine suicide, but perhaps there is more to it than meets the eye!
