Magamuat (washing) is a purification or cleansing rite done after the burial. All those who accompanied the dead to the cemetery should go back to the house of the dead to dip their hands into the mixture of burnt hay ash and vinegar and pat their forehead and nape three times to prevent them from dizziness and/or being hexed or the cause of hex (anannung).
