The home of the Yogads
  • Local stories mirror lived experiences

  • For young readers, books written by local authors set in local communities act as a mirror for their own lived experiences. These books offer an opportunity for children to make connections to both themselves and their immediate surroundings.

  • Local stories are the roots of every culture’s, belief and patriotism to the heroes and heroines who exerted efforts, made an exemplary deeds, showcased their talents and bravery in defending their so called “Community”. This is also the reason why Yogads still believe in Bb. Marikit who became the protector of the Yogads in terms of cheating and pain when it comes to love. To Capitan Tercero who was brave and strong enough to fought with moros. And defended the precious municipality of Echague. Indeed this was enough reson for everyone to continue to pass and relive the Local stories of Echague.
