At the Summit Players’ Theatre, I served as the administration/education intern for the summer of 2020. The Summit Players’ Theatre company is a group dedicated to providing free performances of Shakespearean plays in state parks across the state of Wisconsin. However, given that this was not possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped with online programming for Summit’s No Bummer Summer program instead. Rather than help with in-person workshops and box office sales in accordance with their production of The Winter’s Tale (which was initially the plan), I helped provide virtual workshops and lectures about magic, symbolism, and the role of nature in Shakespeare’s plays.
