Workshops and Lectures

When requested, I assisted with workshops and lectures at the Haggerty Museum of Art in accordance with the museum’s Curator for Academic Engagement, Lynne Shumow. Lynne, who also acts as the faculty advisor for Art Club, has previously asked me to work with students by providing demonstrations in workshops involving media such as ink (for printmaking) and collage. My role at the Haggerty in this capacity involved setting up for workshops and engaging in demonstrations where I explained what I was doing as I did it.

I have also assisted in instructing lectures at the Haggerty, specifically on the topics of Marc Chagall’s Bible series and Alexis Rockman’s The Great Lakes Cycle exhibition. The images above are from lectures on Marc Chagall given by Dr. Deirdre Dempsey, a professor in Marquette's Theology department whose lectures I've attended on several occasions. In these lectures, I provided support by adding historical context for Chagall's works and offering what I know about Chagall's printmaking process as needed.
