Intro

What is racism? Colours are different, appearances are different, cultures are different and personalities are different. Threatening the different into death/suicide, assualting them and harrasment. One of the best solutions to prevent racism is stated in our PMI, Teaching and educating children in schools about anti-racism. Teaching the kids about anti-racism can help the future generations. You're probably wondering what anti-racism is? Anti-racism is a policy or practice of opposing racism and promoting racial tolerance. What’s The Problem?

The Problem

The problem with racism is that it hurts emotionally and physically. What has been done in other parts of the world to reduce racism? One of the recent race movements in America is the Black Lives Matter movement, for a man named George Floy who died from police brutality which brought protests and riots in 2020, May 26th. Racism has to be stopped for there may return the colour wars between each other. Protests and Riots are happening everywhere. What have we done?

Discussion - What have we done?

What has the world done to prevent racism? The main area where racism occurs is the United States. In America there have been many racial events happening over the years starting with Martin Luther King’s speech and on that day he marched for American civil rights, jobs and freedom. Coming back to the present, the BLM (Black lives matter) movement had started. Causing protests and riots raising awareness for the black community.

Possible Solution 1: Protesting

These are 7 famous protests around American history. Remember this is a list of only 7 imagine how many other protests have happened further back. Including our recent protest of the BLM movement on May 26th 2020 last year, in America. This is our Possible solution to continue protesting about racism, talking to others or teaching them anti-racism.

LIST OF PROTESTS ---->[Boston Tea Party. Dec. 16, 1773, Women's Suffrage Parade. March 3, 1913, The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Aug, Stonewall Riots. June 28 to July 3 1969, Occupation of Alcatraz. Nov, The March for Our Lives. March 24, 2018, Telegram Gate Protests. July 14 to July 24, 2019.]

Possible Solution 2: Laws-more effects for discrimination

From our research we are uncerten that there are no futher information about the laws about racism, but there are laws about anti- discrimination. Anti- discrimination treating others unfairly likely because gender, race and disability. 3 of the illegal grounds were named prohibited grounds, and were first introduced in the 1970’s.

Conclusion

For racism to still be flourishing is quite disappointing but the black community have been standing strong for themselves for around two to three centuries. In conclusion, teaching children in schools about anti-racism would be one of the best ways to have a safer future for all races.
