Belmar Junior Lifeguards
Mission Statement
Our mission at the Belmar Junior Lifeguard Program is to cultivate the next generation of well-rounded water enthusiasts, empowering both young men and women. Through our program, we strive to instill a deep sense of confidence and promote the values of sportsmanship and lifeguarding on the Jersey Shore.

About Us
Summer 2025
Important Details:
Dates: June 30th – July 31st
Days: Monday through Thursday
Time: 10 am – 12pm noon
Place: 6th Ave Beach, Belmar
Ages: 6-15 years old (must be six by July 1st)
Cost: $170 for Belmar, Lake Como Residents & St. Rose Students; $180 for non-resident
*cost does not include uniform or tournaments*
Program Requirements
Ages 6-15
Junior Lifeguards must be 6 years old by July 1st. Our program is open for ages 6-15. Intern program available for age 15.
Strong Ocean Swimmer
Junior Lifeguards must be able to swim in the ocean independently. They should not require puddle jumpers, floaties, etc.
Strong Beach Runner
Junior Lifeguards must be able to run at least a mile.
Purchase a Uniform
Junior Lifeguards MUST purchase the official Belmar Junior Lifeguard uniform. They are available at Beckman's on the Beach in Belmar.
There are NO try outs for Belmar Junior Lifeguards.
