LEVEL UP!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
INSTRUMENTS CAN GO HOME!
ALL classes are playing our first sounds in class! Please encourage your child to bring their instruments home and practice the correct posture, facial structure, and hand position. We realize some sounds are not beautiful... yet, BUT you will be astonished at how your child improves by winter!
OPTIONAL PRACTICE TIMES AVAILABLE
We realize that some students may not be able to practice at home on a regular basis. We offer times before and/or after school for students to come to the band hall and practice! After school times may differ depending on after school events. Mrs. Alonzo will text all TIS parents if the band hall is closed at any point after school.
Tannahill

After School: 3:00 - 4:30 Monday, Tuesday & Friday ONLY

BREWER BAND BOOSTERS
Want to be involved in our Brewer Band Program? You should become a Fightin’ Bear Band Booster Member today and invite your friends and family to do so as well. The membership fee is only $5 and not due until September 30th! https://fightinbearband.com/membership/
The next Band Booster meeting will be September 9th at 7pm in the Brewer High School Cafeteria. The meeting is open to everyone - you do not have to be a paid member to attend the meeting. There are various ways to volunteer as a band booster such as High School varsity concession stands, preparing snacks for the marching band, and helping in other hospitality opportunities. Please contact Liana Wester if you have any questions or would like to help!

UPCOMING FAN-PLEDGE FUNDRAISER
Later this semester, we will be launching a Fan-Pledge Fundraiser which allows us to generate donations from our network of Brewer Band fans. We will be asking each band student to gather 20 email addresses and phone numbers of family, friends, and potential donors willing to support our campaign. Your contacts are strictly private and protected, and never sold or shared. We will only use them for this fundraiser and nothing further.
Contacted fans will have the opportunity to make a pledge to their favorite band student and leave a message of encouragement. This will allow us to generate funds in a short amount of time without all the volunteer hours! It is important that every band student participate to help us reach our goal. Please make a great effort to get 20 unique email addresses and phone numbers.
Brainstorm … Friends, Family (anywhere in the country), Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles, Neighbors, colleagues, business owners, Doctors, Dentists, professionals. Avoid teachers and administrators as many are duplicated by students.

PAYING FEES ON REVTRAK
Our $25 band fees can be paid online via our district Revtrak system. Please be sure it says "TIS/FAA Band Activity Fee 2021-2022" when paying online. If the title does not appear, it has not been charged to your child's account yet-- charges should be posted around the 2nd-3rd week of school.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to provide one-on-one instruction that does not happen in the typical band class. These lessons are taught by highly certified instructors who are professionals on your child's instrument! Private lessons are a great way to speed up the learning process and target specific skills for your child!
Lessons are $18.00-$20.00 each for a half hour/half class period. Students may also sign up for a buddy lesson, 2 students in the same band class will take a lesson at the same time for half price.
Private lessons are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
