NRH2O CHAPERONES

I am currently tweaking some of our chaperone details, but most is set in stone! Please be sure to check out the "jobs" we have assigned on the second page. Chaperones are welcome to swap out with each other throughout the day as long as our students stay monitored in all places. The times are slightly earlier due to bus routes.

INSTRUMENT TURN-IN & BAND CAMP INSTRUMENT REQUEST

Instrument Turn-In for all borrowed instruments is Monday, May 20. Please be sure the following instruments are brought to school that day.

If your child is attending a June Band Camp, like Tarleton or TCU, please fill out our Instrument Request form if they need to borrow one of these instruments.

BAND CAMP OPPORTUNITY @ TARLETON STATE

Tarleton State University (Stephenville) will be hosting their annual Middle School Summer Band Camp (June 16-20). This camp is OPTIONAL and highly encouraged for all of our 6-8th grade band students; it is a very rewarding and a fun experience.

Mrs. Alonzo will be on staff for the Tarleton band camp, so parents can feel at ease knowing that a familiar director will be supervising our students. Camp amenities include performing in a camp band, dorms, meals, swimming pool, recreational activities, and a staff of professionals in the music field.

Auditions are held at check in time, this is simply to place students in groups based on their playing level. Please visit the website for more audition information.

Middle School - June 16 - 20, 2024

** Transportation to this camp is NOT included; however, carpooling has worked well in the past. Parents will pick up students after their camp performance.

** Be sure to sign up as a RESIDENT so your child will have a place in the dorms.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great way to provide one-on-one instruction that does not happen in the typical band class. These lessons are taught by highly certified instructors who are professionals on your child's instrument! Private lessons are a great way to speed up the learning process and target specific skills for your child!

Lessons are $18.00-$20.00 each for a half hour/half class period. Students may also sign up for a buddy lesson, 2 students in the same band class will take a lesson at the same time for half price.

 Private lessons are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
