Welcome to Band! Meet the Directors
INSTRUMENT RENTALS
If you play the Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, or Percussion, you may get your quality instrument from the Bandwagon Music Store. Bandwagon will deliver your instrument to your school (in-person learners) or to your home (online learners).
BANDWAGON INSTRUMENTS, SUPPLIES, AND REPAIRS
Bandwagon is available to you for supplies and repairs. For online learners, Mr. Henry can even arrange a minor repair at your house. His repair shop is completely mobile! If you are concerned about your child’s instrument, give them a call.

BINDER PICK UP
Band binders will be provided for your student. For in-person learners, binders will be given in class the first day of school.
Online Learners can come pick up their binders on one of these 2 handout dates:
Tuesday, September 8th, 6pm-7pm @ BMS Band Hall
OR
Thursday, September 10th, 6pm-7pm @ Tannahill Cafeteria
BAND COMMUNICATION
We will be using email, REMIND text messages, SCHOOL STATUS messages, CANVAS, and our WEEKLY NEWSLETTER to keep in touch. Join our Remind Text Message Group to keep up with all the latest Beginning Band announcements!

CANVAS ASSIGNMENTS AND GRADES
Your assignments are in CANVAS Modules.
After you submit an assignment, your director will grade it and “push” the grades to Skyward each week.
ONLINE LEARNING
Students will have access to all of our lessons through Canvas and Youtube. It is important for your child to keep up with these lessons so that when they return to in-person learning, it is a smooth transition to the band classroom! Private lessons are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
We created a document of answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding online learning for band. This is a LIVE document. If you can’t find the answer to your question in the newsletter, check here.
Can't get to CANVAS? All our videos are now housed on our very own Youtube channel. You will not be able to play Youtube videos directly from your student's WSISD laptop but can access the channel from another device.
PERSONAL NOTES!
Congratulations to Mrs. Johnson, her husband, Shane and son, Houston! They will have another little Johnson boy in the house around March!
Mrs. Alonzo's daughter, Mila, started kindergarten this year!

PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are available for all students, especially online learners. Scholarships are available, which cover about half of each lesson. See the Band Website or bit.ly/brewerlessons for more information.
