ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Fan-Pledge Fundraiser LIVE Event

Collect 20 emails and phone numbers from possible donors NOW! HERE are the instructions on how to enter "fan" contact information; this was also sent home with your student earlier this week.

Money raised goes straight back to our students. Due to COVID-19, we waived all band fees this year, which means we must fundraise to generate the money for music, books, band shirts, prizes, and class incentives!

A $100 bill will be raffled off for students who enter 10 (1 raffle entry), 15 (2 raffle entries), or 20 (3 raffle entries) contacts! During a 40 minute LIVE Zoom Event, students will personally call their contacts and ask them to support our band program! The Zoom link will be sent out closer to time.

**New LIVE Event Date: Tuesday, October 13 at 6:00pm**

THIS WEEK!

This week your student worked on passing their first 8 notes flash card quiz, how to DAH rhythms, and how to form their mouth muscles to play their instrument. We also learned how to open our cases, identify the parts of our instrument, and some classes even made their first sounds!

**Please note that even though we are beginning to make our first sounds, instruments will not be sent home immediately. We want to ensure that students know how to properly care for the instruments before any unsupervised assembly/cleaning.**

Assignments due by Friday 10/2:

  • DAH-ing Rhythms - CANVAS
