Theme: “Understanding the Science Behind Your Project”
Get ready to be amazed! On the 18th and 19th of April 2023, the brilliant grade 5 teachers, alongside the visionary Mr. Ruel II B. Layderos, held an awe-inspiring science exhibit with a captivating theme - "Understanding the Science Beyond your Project." This exhibition was a splendid showcase of a wide range of exciting and informative exhibits, which showcased various scientific concepts and simple experiments on force, motion, and energy. The first day of the science exhibit was an unforgettable experience, jam-packed with valuable insights and enlightening discoveries. The day kicked off with a mesmerizing opening program, where our esteemed principal, Mrs. Maria Bernadeth A. Pablo, delivered an inspiring message , followed by a brief overview of the exhibit's objectives by the one and only Mr. Ruel II B. Layderos.
The messages of the science exhibit had a profound impact on all who attended, and it was clear that the learners were eager to put their newfound knowledge into action. The grade 5 pupils, in particular, were bursting with enthusiasm, and they kicked off the next phase of the event with a rousing rendition of "Halina't Sama Sama Natin Itaguyod ang Siyensiya". It was a stirring performance that set the tone for the exciting activities to come. Following the song, the pupils presented a short but powerful performance on "Thinking Like a Scientist", showcasing their newfound understanding of the scientific method and how it can be applied in everyday life. It was an impressive display of their critical thinking skills, and it left everyone in the audience feeling inspired and energized. Mrs. Evangelyn A. Sy, in collaboration with the grade 5 teachers, then divided the pupils into 14 groups and sent them off to explore the various booths that had been set up for the exhibit. One of the highlights of the event was the selection of a little Science Teacher from grade 5, who had the opportunity to explain their assigned experiment to all the learners of BBES. It was a wonderful way to empower young learners and give them a sense of ownership over their scientific learning. The documentation of the event was truly remarkable, and it captured the excitement and enthusiasm of all who attended. The pictures showed the learners fully engaged in the activities, exploring scientific concepts in a hands-on, interactive way. It was clear that the science exhibit had been a resounding success, and everyone was eager for more opportunities to engage with science in the future.
