" Tara Na, Tayo ay Magbasa: A Reading Beyond The Classroom Activities" 

Reading Intervention Extension Activities Theme: “Tara na, Tayo ay Magbasa: A Reading Beyond the Classroom Activities” 

With the help of dedicated grade 5 teachers from Bagong Barangay Elementary School, this reading intervention extension activity with the theme "Tara na, Tayo ay Mabasa: A Reading Beyond the Classroom Activities" aims to extend learning from outside the four walls of the classroom to help all the selected grade 5 learners further develop their writing skills, reading comprehension skills, and arithmetic skills. The first day of the reading intervention extension activity began with a brief introductory program emceed by Mr. Ruel Layderos, a grade 5 Science teacher. The program started at 8 in the morning with an opening prayer led by Ms. Christine Ann Torres, a grade 5 MAPEH teacher, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Mrs. Marianne Suing, a grade 5 Livelihood Education teacher. The brief introductory program was attended by the parents of the selected grade 5 learners as well as the chairman of barangay 843. It made the teacher glad to witness each parent support their child in this kind of activity outside the school. 

Mr. Eustaquio Balaguer, the beloved chairman of barangay 843, also gives his fruitful speech to everyone, reminding each learner to always prioritize their studies, for it will be their key to a bright future. He also reminded each parent to provide support for their child. Mrs. Imelda Maestrocampo, the master teacher of grade 5, also gave her meaningful opening remarks to everyone, emphasizing the importance of the reading intervention extension activity for the chosen grade 5 learners of Bagong Barangay Elementary School. 

After the quick introductory program, the reading intervention extension activity began. Three groups of students were created. A group for math, reading, and writing. Mrs. Hilda Icotanim, a grade 5 Filipino teacher, and Ms. Christine Ann Torres led the writing group. Mrs. Evangeline Sy, a grade 5 English teacher, and Mr. Ruel Layderos led the reading group. The math group was facilitated by Mr. Gerald Salinas and Mrs. Imelda Maestrocampo, who are teachers of mathematics in grade 5. Division of City Schools - Manila BAGONG BARANGAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL J.
