YPC facilitates operation, recruitment and fundraising efforts at Gridiron Games, one of BBBS’s largest events for fundraising and expanding awareness of the BBBS mission
Gridiron Games combines a Big/Little outing and a fundraiser amongst legal professionals.
Big/Little Event: Bigs and Littles challenge themselves by taking on a series of physical games and activities, including playing flag football, running through an NFL Play 60 obstacle course, and learning a choreographed dance routine from Jets cheerleaders. They also get a behind-the-scenes tour of MetLife stadium and hear from retired Giants and Jets football players about the importance of mentorship.
Fundraiser: The marquee event in the afternoon is a prestigious flag football tournament played between sponsoring law firms. It serves as a significant fundraising event for BBBS, raising about $250,000.

Pre-Event Volunteers
YPC members assist in the planning process of the event. We coordinate pre-event logistics, secure gift bag items for the Littles and participating law firms, and volunteer our time to set up for the event
Day-of Event Volunteers
YPC members actively facilitate day-of logistics. We guide Bigs and Littles around the stadium, referee the on-field flag football games, and distribute gift bags to the attendees
Event Fundraising
YPC hosts a fundraiser happy hour to raise funds to offset transportation costs to and from the event for volunteers
Law Firm Connections
YPC members support the fundraising goals of the event by bringing in new sponsorships and relationships with law firms
