The Young Professional Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters NYC organized a lively and impactful happy hour fundraiser, with the goal of supporting their volunteer initiative at MetLife Stadium for the Gridiron Games. Specifically, half of the funds raised were allocated to reimburse individuals for ride shares, ensuring that volunteers could easily commute to the stadium.Â
more information about Gridiron Games can be found here.
Half of the funds raised from the happy hour fundraiser were to support Tara who ran the New York Marathon with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC team. Having been part of BBBS NYC for three years, she values the lasting friendships, impactful experiences, and community involvement it's brought to her life and appreciates any support for this significant cause.
Tara became a Big Sister in October 2020, when she matched with her Little Sister, Desire. This journey has been an honor, witnessing Desire's growth and sharing enjoyable NYC adventures. As part of the Young Professionals Committee, Tara is the Spring Bash Chair and aids in raising awareness and funds for BBBS's mission alongside close-knit community leaders.
BBBS holds a special place in Tara's heart and she extends gratitude for contributions to this cause and hopes to connect with supporters in November for the big day!
