ANDROID TERMS OF USE — BASIC AND ADVANCED GRAMMAR
Effective date: 17 September 2026
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These App-specific Terms apply to the Android English Grammar edition of Basic and Advanced Grammar (the App). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. Google Play's applicable terms govern Android store distribution, purchases, and account services. Mandatory consumer rights under local law remain unaffected. The separate iOS Terms of Use are at https://sites.google.com/view/basicandadvancedgrammar/terms .
1. THE SERVICE AND LOCAL PROGRESS
The App provides English-learning content, including grammar explanations, vocabulary, pronunciation practice, text-to-speech playback, reading activities, adaptive quizzes, review, and original mock-exam practice. No developer account is required. Learning progress, review history, and preferences are stored in the App's local storage, not in a developer-operated sync account. Clearing App data, uninstalling, erasing a device, or moving to another device may cause progress loss; Android backup or device-transfer services may preserve a separate copy depending on your settings. The developer cannot guarantee restoration of locally stored progress.
2. LICENSE AND PERMITTED USE
You receive a limited, personal, non-commercial right to use the App and its content, subject to these Terms and the relevant Google Play rules. The App is licensed, not sold. You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, sublicense, publish, bulk-scrape, or commercially exploit its original content except where applicable law permits. You may not disrupt the App, bypass access controls, or access Premium content without a valid entitlement.
3. PERMANENT FREE CONTENT
The 160 original bilingual Android lessons, 172 preserved visual grammar lessons, first mock test for each supported exam, and activities identified as free in the App are available without a Premium subscription. The first free mock is permanent free content, not a timed subscription trial, and using it does not automatically start a paid plan. Features may be corrected or reorganized without converting a purchase into an obligation to pay for permanently free content.
4. PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS
Monthly and yearly auto-renewable Premium plans provide the same Premium content access and an in-App ad-free experience while an active entitlement is recognized. Only their billing period and displayed price differ. The App shows the applicable price, renewal period, and Google Play purchase flow before confirmation. Google Play processes payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests under its rules and applicable law; the developer does not receive your full card details or Google Account password.
Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play > your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions or at https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions . A subscription renews until cancelled under Google Play's terms. Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal, while paid access continues through the current paid period. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a plan. If Premium expires, the App returns to its free tier and ads may resume; expiration alone does not erase locally saved learning progress. Use Restore Purchases in the App while signed in to the purchasing Google Account if an active plan is not recognized.
5. ADVERTISING AND PRIVACY
Free users may see Google banner or interstitial ads. The App does not intentionally make new ad requests while an active Premium entitlement is recognized. Advertising, consent choices, and service-provider processing are explained in the Android Privacy Policy: https://sites.google.com/view/basicandadvancedgrammar/android-privacy . Some earlier installed Android versions have different advertising identifiers and analytics behavior; the policy identifies those version differences.
6. SPEECH, AUDIO, AND AVAILABILITY
Pronunciation playback uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your Android device. Optional spoken-answer practice uses microphone access and an available Android speech-recognition service. The App prefers an on-device recognizer when available, but a selected provider may use the network. Availability depends on device permissions, installed providers and voices, language support, settings, and connectivity. Not every voice or recognition feature works on every device or in every region. The App does not keep a raw voice-recording archive or upload recordings to a developer-operated server. Your selected provider may process speech under its own terms and privacy policy.
7. EDUCATIONAL AND EXAM-PRACTICE NOTICE
The App is an independent educational product. Its mock questions, passages, explanations, and practice activities are original. Exam names and related descriptive terms identify only the format, level, or skill area being practised. The App is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by any examination board, test provider, university, government body, or trademark owner mentioned. Practice scores, level estimates, weakness analysis, and study recommendations are learning aids, not official scores, certificates, admission decisions, or predictions of official performance. No particular score, language level, admission result, or learning outcome is promised.
8. CONTENT AND CHANGES
The App's original lessons, questions, passages, software, and design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and marks remain their owners' property and do not imply endorsement. We may correct, expand, reorganize, or discontinue features and exam-format references. Changes to the App do not shorten a Premium period already paid for; Google Play presents renewal and price changes according to its rules and applicable law. An internet connection, Google Play, advertising services, or selected speech providers may be unavailable at times.
9. TERMINATION AND APPLICABLE RIGHTS
Your right to use the App may end if you materially violate these Terms or applicable Google Play rules. Sections that should continue by nature, including intellectual-property and exam-practice notices, remain applicable. These Terms do not waive mandatory consumer protections. Google Play's terms govern Android store transactions; otherwise any warranty, liability, dispute, or governing-law question is subject to applicable law rather than the iOS-only Apple license.
10. CONTACT
For questions about these Terms, App content, subscriptions, privacy, or an alleged infringement, use the Android Support page: https://sites.google.com/view/basicandadvancedgrammar/android-support . Do not send passwords, full payment details, or voice recordings.
