Medical Services will be changing EMR and will not be using Cerner. We will let you know more as we find out.
In the past we have had webinar training for EMR allowing time to practice in the "sandbox". There was also an in service at the Jamboree as well. Much of this is still in the planning and development stage. We will post information for EMR training and links here once it is available.
Charlie Medical Orientation
Once all CM staff ( Jamily) have arrived on site and set up is completed there will be a CM specific orientation. It will include a general meeting, followed by break out groups. Here we will review procedures, schedules, schedule changes, ordering, supplies, equipment and more and will be group specific. The agenda will be available at the meeting. Unfortunately, this was affected by not receiving our supplies until 7 pm the night before the troops arrived in 2023. Hopefully it will be much earlier in 2026. If you have questions or thoughts please write them down so you don't forget. Your input, and experiences are extremely valuable as are all of you.
in 2019 and 2023 we had a composition notebook for your assessment, evalution and possible solutions. There were good constructive comments and solutions written by all. We scanned it and converted it into a PDF file and submitted it with our after action reports. It was greatly appreciated and we will have one this year as well for you to write in. Comments are always better coming from those who are working the system in place. Thank you in advance for your help, thoughts, insight, assessment and ideas.
At WSJ we experienced a Mass Casualty drill and a Base Camp readiness drill. These were both evaluated and included in After Action reports. These were not repeated in 2023. It is unknown if these will be repeated, we will keep you updated.
