Charlie Medical Schedule:
The schedule and teams will be posted closer to the event, due to the possibility of staff changes. Teams are assigned based on responses to email querys. Please respond promptly. Thank you!
We are open 24/7 so must have staff on for the night. No we don't do a full night shift rotation. We assign 1 MD or NP, 1RN or PA and 1 Tech for the night. It will only happen to you once and you are off the following day. We have a night call doorbell for patients to ring if they come in the middle of the night.
We are hoping for longer dining room hours. If so we will be able to push some times out. In 2019 the dining hours were short, we are hoping they will be extended and make it easier for staff to go up and eat and enjoy the A/C without being rushed. We will keep you posted.
Mental Health and Listening Ear schedules are managed by mental health team lead. Mental Health is an intregal part of health services. We have been lucky to have mental health on site with CM!
At WSJ BC Charlie was so fortunate to work with UWV instructors, student, proctors etc. It was an incredible addition to Charlie Medical team ( CM). They had a room in the Acute care side and a meeting area in Observation. In 2023 mental health had a deciated room in our acute care tent and a tent of their own for meetings and personal or group sessions. We are hoping to have UWV with us again. Their work was seemingly endless and they are such an asset to Charlie. We do not know if they will have a dedicated tent again we will keep you posted. They are truly an asset to CM
In 2023 we also had nursing students in CM for the first time. They were Amazing!!! Hoping we get students again! We also had 2 medics form the WV Air National Guard and wow did they rock it. We were so honored to have their Commander and General come and award them his challenge coins!! So very exciting and rewarding. It takes a village and we had great villagers for sure!
