We will also be using Group Me again so we can send out alerts, changes, calls for help, event reminders etc. Those that are new to the group will be added before the Jamboree starts. Lindsay will again manage this.
We have a resource binder that you will be able to go to for resources like how a prescription is written and handled, copies of Code Blue Notes, ERT notes, risk management, work flow and more. We are told this will all be available electronically, but we will have a paper version. Some of the forms are CM forms and will be in the binder. It also contains maps and announcements.
There will be a staff bulletin board for schedules, notices, maps and more. There is also a bulletin board in the front by the registration area and will list contact info, announcements, event schedules and more.
We will have a white board back by the equipment and medication cabinets. Please write down items that we are low on and need to be reordered. It will be transcribed at the end of each day and the order submitted by the CAO.

Base Camp Stuff
Keurig in camp. Don't forget a Keurig was donated to Charlie Medical and will be returning. Throw in your favorite pods, whether coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc. We have had a 40 cup coffee maker to make coffee each day( not sure for 2026) and a smaller pot for simply hot water. We should have bullion for patients and it does taste better without the lingering taste of coffee.
We will have a staff break area, where these items will live. Feel free to donate to the snack area if you please, we all know medical eats anything! I will try and do better in the licorice department! :-)
In 2019, at WSJ, Dan asked all to bring magazines or activity books that can be placed in the "visitors waiting area" to entertain those waiting for patients. If you have a magazine that promotes your city, region, state, national parks, or a Soduku book, crossword puzzle book etc throw on one or two in the bottom of your suitcase. Please black out your address label. Magazines do not need to be current....after all this is a "medical office." LOL
Dress up days. To have fun and create a lighter atmosphere in what can be a stressful place for some people to visit, we enjoy dressing up and decorating in a theme related day. Our most popular was Hawaiian Holiday. Bring a Hawaiian shirt, a lei or 2 to share and help us promote the Island life. Another day we plan to get our Disney on with Disney Day. Bring your ears, your best mouse shirt or Disney wear, help us celebrate the happiest place on earth. We have another day planned and at the moment its Halloween in July. What a great day to decorate, play spooky music, eat candy and have fun! None of this is required, it is just fun. So feel free to join in. I already have some spider webbing!
We want to do a photo collage of the Charlie caregiversand staff aka Charlie Jamily so please bring a photo of you to place on this wall of fame. It doesnt have to be in a scout uniform or scrubs, just you maybe hiking, or in Disney, or on a cruise, at work, at a birthday or holiday, vacation photo, with your favorite pet, kayaking,with a friend or family, cooking whatever is you. Patients just need to see us all as just as crazy and fun as we all are! We need it to not be huge tho as they get put on a map! Think passport photo.
