Ruby Welcome Center:
You will check in at Ruby Welcome Center and will be required to have certain things with you. It is always wise to bring copies with you for this process. This may include YPT training certificate, drivers license and copy of UTV course completion, both on line and in person. A current medical license verification, copy of your health form, Jamboree risk advisory, copy of job position offer and I always bring a copy of the email verifying full payment of NSJ fees. This page will be updated when the information is available
Transportation: This is for those using the bus service from airports to the site and the return to the airport after the Jamboree. Details and information will be provided when available. The link will also be made available.
Health information: For past Jamborees you were required to complete the annual health and physical forms, including a part C. They will need to be submitted for review in advance of the Jamboree. It is important that your physical be done within 11 months of the event. Once information for submission is available you will be notified. A copy of your forms should come with you to the Jamboree. You will also be sent a National Jamboree Risk Advisory that will need to be reviewed, signed by your physician and submitted with your Health record. The risk advisory also needs to be brought for check in.
Other "things": Now I always like to be safe and bring with me copies of my certs, license, and license verification as well as a copy of the email saying ALL FEES ARE PAID. Not required, but it's never a bad idea.
UTV use: The need for drivers is limited due to only having 1 UTV that is reserved for emergency repsonse in the subcamps, returning patients to their camp after a trip to the hospital, filling water jugs for the med clinic, etc. Drivers must complete both an online and in person training. In 2023, in person courses were offered at the site prior to the start of the Jamboree. We will notify you if are selected to drive and if the courses will be available.
TENTS Once you have cleared Ruby Welcome Center, in past years you boarded a shuttle to bring you into the site. In 2023, if you were driving, you were allowed to drive in and drop your gear at our tent site. Cars go into "storage" for the Jamboree but were still accesible in 2023. We are waiting to hear the process for 2026. If you take a bus we will let you know the process once its determined. Once in Charlie you will be met by another CM staff person, aka our Greeter, and they will help you get to the tents and get you situated. The tent assignments are made in advance by Charlie Key 3. Each tent will have a sign with the tent number clearly displayed. The tents have been different each Jamboree, so what we will get is unknown. How many per tent will be determined closer to the event. We will keep you posted. Remember, we all need to be Flexible, like Gumby and Pokey. In Charlie your tent number is considered your "address" and depending on how many rows will determine what "street" you will live on for the event. :-) We will again attempt to get solar lights to line our" streets" and make walking to and finding your tent easier. You are welcome to bring chairs or canopies to have an area to relax when off shift.
PARKING CARS In 2023, cars were allowed to be "stored" in A/B which was much more accesible than prior years when you parked in Ruby! We are hoping there will once again be parking inside the event area. Those with cars were able to drive in and drop gear off at Charlie. We hope this will again be the case. You will be updated!
