Welcome to the Base Camp C!!!

Welcome to the Base Camp Charlie Medical Family (Jamily). Below you will find some photos from 2013 (yes we were Delta in 2013), 2017 NSJ, 2019 WSJ and 2023 NSJ! Other photos appear on our Facebook group, Base Camp C Medical 2026 Jamboree, and were added by a variety of staff members.

The photos below are to give a sneak peek preview of living and working in our Base Camp. You will see how we begin and what we create. We are given the materials and basically assemble and then add our own special CM (Charlie Medical) touches.

You will see familiar faces in all these past Jamborees and many will be returning for the next Jamboree. As our new CMO for 2026 Duncan Fagundes said after the WSJ, we are a Jamily! So welcome to our Jamily.

We will send out a query looking for information to help us form our teams. We use a serpentine schedule to maximize time off for you to go and explore the Jamboree and spend time with your scout or scouters you know. Please return the query as quickly as possible. Schedules can be flexible and trades can be made when needed. They need to be made through the CNO (Chief Nursing Officer).

Set up, as you may see from some of the photos below, can be a challenge. We learn something new each time and you will work in assigned groups so we can maximize our efficiency and get you out to wander the site and see where things are and what you can find!

There are examples of our home away from home, dinner at Chat N Chew, and more. What tents we will be provided with are an unknown or where they will be set up is also an unknown at this time. You will see a photo that includes the bunk bed cots (Disc-O-Beds) and yes we need to set them up when we get there and break them down before we leave. There is a You Tube video called Disc-O-Bed assembly 2018 you may like to review. You will be assigned a tent and receive your "address" aka tent number when you arrive from a CM greeter. Your tents will be identified clearly by sign with the tent number. We live on Band Aid Blvd, Dressing Dr, Clinic Ct. and other streets. Streets will be identified once we learn the tent layouts. In 2023 we had tents in 2 long rows creating our home on Band Aid Blvd. More details will be available and posted to our web page as information becomes available. You are ivnited to make your home your castle. We have had a variety of decorations outside of tents, like Flamingos, quilted fish, and we bring solar lights to make it easier to negotiate at night.
