2026 National Jamboree
Staff Fees and Information
The countdown has begun for the 2026 National Jamboree, and we once again need your help. As your Jamboree Leadership, we need your assistance to ELEVATE Scouting America to new heights and change the lives of youth and adults through their Jamboree experience.
As we gear up for an unforgettable experience, as promised, we are thrilled to share some important updates with you:
Staff Fees: At the bottom of this page are the fees for staff in 2026. The registration process has been streamlined to make it as easy as possible. You will find additional details regarding fees and payment options on the Jamboree website www.jamboree.scouting.org in the JST/Staff tab. At this site you can also see a photo of the daypacks your will recieve for working the Jamboree. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance to our registration team at national.jamboree@scouting.org.
To the right you will see the logo for the 2026 Jamboree and underneath the first concept art for the Charlie Medical patch.
Welcome to the Charlie Medical ( CM ) web page. You will find photos of past Jamborees, links to training, transportation, maps, job descriptions and more. The documents are from past Jamborees and need to be updated for 2026.
We are excited to have our "Jamily" together once again and welcome new members! CM is incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated and caring group of people that come together to provide care and support to those attending the Jamboree. Here you will find new and lifelong friends from all over. We do need more members to volunteer so please recruit your friends and family to join us. There are 3 options, Full event, first week or second week. You can see prices above.
We no not have our logo as yet, but concept art has begun. Dr Russell Brunet will be working on the art development and Dr David Chasen will be the patch manager! We hope that Russells mom will once again be kind enough to make CM staff neckers, a tradition that began with WSJ in 2019 (there is a photo under the About Us tab).
Please enjoy this site and check it occasionally now and more often as we get closer. We will be sending out emails with updates and a query we ask you to answer and return to us. This helps to put together teams, schedules, tent partners, and give us an updated phone and email list. We will also continue to post news on our Facebook page and in GroupMe.
We are so excited to be together again in 2026. Please stay safe and be well!

RECOMMENDATIONS OF ITEMS TO BRING:
Rain gear is a necessary item at the Summit.
Shorts and some long pants we did have a number of very cold nights in 2019 and lots of rain in 2023!
Sweatshirt or light jacket
Duffle bag to carry your gear.
2 pairs of shoes, 1 comfortable to wear around and a pair of boots (light hiking is fine) for the rain and days out. Flip flops may not be worn in camp, but are fine for shower house. Socks. Waterproofing shoes is recommended.
A pair of work gloves to help with set up is good.
Medical staff will need to bring some of their own gear as what is provided is limited:
Stethoscope
Goggles
Scissors
If you have and can bring, but not required:
Oto/laryngoscope
Portable pulse oximeter
Glucometer
BP Cuff
Box of gloves in your preferred size (they were difficult to obtain)
Make sure you Label all your equipment.
Reusable lunch bag to carry your shelf stable lunch. In 2023 we were handed lunch in a bag, but how they will do it in 2026 is not determined yet.
Be prepared to do laundry as laundry service is unknown at this time. We will keep you posted and will provide you with options. The best soap is Camp suds if using a "homer bucket". CM has 3 Homer buckets for doing laundry thanks to Duncan Fagundus our CMO and we have 3 bottles camp suds to share.
Clothesline and clothes pins, Flagging tape for when there is no laundry
Bath towels and washcloths we have hot showers!
Sleeping bag, we do have some cold nights so a liner for your bag or a light blanket
Day pack to carry supplies and WATER!
Water bottles, coffee or tea cup. (CM has a Keurig for the staff) you need your pods and are welcomed to bring pods to share but not required.
Sleeping pad to go on your cot.
Flashlight.
Lighting for your tent, no there is no power in the tents, but items can be charged in the medical tent.
Portable, battery operated fan if you like for sleeping comfort.
Sunscreen, Lip balm, Hat.
We do have power in the medical tents and yes you can plug in and charge phones, I pads, rechargeable batteries, CPAP batteries, phone chargers, etc.
Patches to trade keep in mind in 2023 youth could trade with adults IF their adult unit leader is present and approves of the transaction, we will see what the rules are for 2026. You are free to gift a patch to a youth as a thank you or remembrance. So bring patches and if you like purchase CM patches you can trade there are lots of medical patches out there including the EMS.
Additional items to consider:
Eyeglass repair kit
Multi tool if you have one
A small combination lock for your duffel.
Pods for the Keurig if you'd like
Masks you prefer. In 2023 COVID was alive and well at Jamboree. Public Health and med admin did an amazing job of getting us masks. CM provided bags so you could reuse a mask if you were comfortable with that. Hopefully it wont happen again, but..... A good scout is always PREPARED.
