Community Breakfasts - The church provides a hot breakfast every Tuesday and Friday. Members and friends of this congregation contribute by cooking, dropping off meals, and donating food and cash. Many of the Barre area congregations and organizations collaborate to ensure that the area homeless folks have a hot meal, friendly support, a warm place to be 24 hours every day. The Community Breakfast Program at our church is part of this city-wide collaboration.
The Environment - We are certified as a “green sanctuary” by our national organization. This means that we try to have our buildings and grounds as environmentally sound as possible and we also try to educate our members to live sustainably. We also do an annual Earth Day worship service and need people to help organize that. If you are interested in such issues as global warming contact George Plumb.
Vermont Interfaith Action - This is a statewide organization that brings together churches from different religions to identify the most pressing human needs of a given geographical area and then work to make systematic changes to address those needs.
Barre Interfaith Group (BIG) - An interaction between several religious and supportive organizations in the Barre area to help people in need.
