In December 1974 I was volunteering my time as a registered nurse at Vista Community Clinic doing intake histories from new clients. A nice looking woman approached me and asked if she could leave some information regarding home health services for our clients. Not knowing anything about the subject I asked her to explain and became interested. She invited me to come to her office in Escondido and she could tell me more. Made an appointment and the rest is history-I became a visiting nurse.Told her I wanted to work ONLY part-time.
She stated that was good and the very next day I started a new position in my life which I have never regretted-worked the first week 3 days straight and then full time plus On-Call every other week-end for the next 6 years. Then my brother Bob and my husband John thought we should have our own home health business and we did and I enjoyed it for almost three decades. SO-To anyone reading this-remember to take a chance on a new job-it just might be the best thing in your life.
