Objective 1. Review NCSIC website and document changes that can be made to improve site for different groups: patients, providers, public and policymakers.
During my internship with the coalition, I played a crucial role in refining the organization's website to better align with its goals and values. As an intern, my responsibilities included conducting a thorough evaluation of the website and comparing it with other coalitions to identify areas for improvement. I meticulously analyzed various elements, such as design, content, and functionality, to gain insights into industry best practices.
After, I compiled my findings into a clear and concise chart that outlined specific recommendations for changes while also highlighting aspects that should be kept. This chart became a valuable reference for guiding the website enhancement process. Additionally, I actively engaged in meetings with my internship leaders to discuss my observations, present the chart, and collaboratively plan the implementation of necessary changes.
These meetings provided a platform for valuable feedback and allowed me to learn from experienced professionals within the coalition. Making the NCSIC website better for patients, doctors, the public, and policymakers is important for public health. By changing the site to be easy to use for everyone, and readable. The status of this objective is complete.
