Volleyball may just be a silly game of "keep the balloon off of the ground", but it has taught me many valuable lessons that I will take into my teaching career.
On and off the court we need to be able to communicate schedules, game day plans, and so much more that I have learned to manage. I believe that these management tools have equipped me well to become a successful teacher. Since the first moment I stepped on the court as a tall, long-limbed, 9-year-old girl, I have been dedicated to volleyball, and have learned what it means to commit fully to something and work to get better at it everyday. Throughout my journey as a student-athelte I have found my voice, and believe that it has taught me valuable time-management skills.
