The Danielson Framework for teaching is a comprehensive system that divides teaching tasks into four domains: Planning and Preparation, Learning Environments, Learning Experiences, and Principled Teaching. Each domain is broken down further into components, and within each component are specific descriptions of teaching tasks. Today, the Danielson Framework is used as a teacher evaluation tool. At the same time, it is a great resource to self- compare with, and see whether the standards given in the Framework are being met in one's practice.Â
