Project Management Specialist
What makes this project unique is the first quarter (fall 2018) I was enrolled in the SBST program as a student, I was assigned the building envelope portion of the building tune-up process. During my building walk-thru, I noticed water damage from the door/window that led from a classroom to the green roof.
I brought up the water damage during my Building Tune-up project presentation and what I believed to be the root cause of the water damage: Based on the location of the building relative to weather and wear pattern of the issue, I suggested the water was coming in from the weather strip and hardware being installed incorrectly when the building was constructed. My cohort disagreed.
A year later, It turned into a capital JOC project and I was assigned to coordinate that project while working for campus services with Forma Construction on my third state Job Order Contract (JOC) project.
It was concluded the water damage was caused by improper installation of weather stripping and hardware.
The pictures shown here reflect the Door/Window project.
