Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) will make its closest approach to the Earth on 1 February, at a distance of 0.28 AU. on the day of perigee. It will become visible around 19:02 (IST), 34° above your northern horizon. Also, Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) is forecast to reach the brightest point in its 2023 apparition.

The Moon will reach full phase. At this time of the month, it is visible for much of the night. Early Native American tribes as the Snow Moon because the heaviest snow usually fell during this time of the year. Since hunting is difficult, this moon has also been known by some tribes as the Hunger Moon. 

The α-Centaurid meteor shower will be active from 28 January to 21 February, producing its peak rate of meteors around 8 February.

The Moon and Venus will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 2°05' to the south of Venus. At around the same time, the two objects will also make a close approach, technically called an appulse. 

The Moon and Jupiter will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 1°11' to the south of Jupiter. At around the same time, the two objects will also make a close approach, technically called an appulse. 

The Moon and Mars will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 1°04' to the north of Mars. At around the same time, the two objects will also make a close approach, technically called an appulse.
