IISER Bhopal owns a prestigious 14-inch Cassegrain telescope with an excellent dome facility for professional Research-oriented observations atop one of its academic buildings, AB-1.
We, as the Astronomy Club of IISERB, are proud to have a dedicated group of students with access to this facility, doing professional research work in Astronomy.
The group was founded in December 2018 by Parth Nayak. Currently, we have 7 members in this student-research-group. Every new semester, we take new members after careful investigation of applications and interviews. Check the form below for application details.
The applications for joining the student research group open every semester generally during the first-second week. In even semesters, the timeline is usually the second week of January, whereas, in odd semesters, it is the second week of August. During then, an active link to a google form appears below. Candidates from IISER Bhopal are welcome to apply irrespective of their year/program of study. Applicants with a strong statement of interest and past experience will be given preference so fill your application with caution!
