Astronomical Events

The Moon will pass in front of the Sun, creating a hybrid total/annular solar eclipse. Unfortunately, it will not be visible from IISER Bhopal. 

The Moon will pass through the Earth's shadow between 20:45 and 01:02 IST, creating a penumbral lunar eclipse. It will be visible from Bhopal in the south-eastern sky. The Moon will lie 45° above the horizon at the moment of greatest eclipse. 

The Moon will pass in front of the Sun, creating an annular solar eclipse visible from the Americas between 20:35 and 02:25 IST. From India no eclipse will be visible. 

The Moon will pass through the Earth's shadow between 01:06 and 02:23 IST, creating a partial lunar eclipse. It will be visible from Bhopal in the western sky. The Moon will lie 63° above the horizon at the moment of greatest eclipse.
