ELA curricula undoubtedly requires students to write, whether on a computer or by hand. Pencils, pens, and crayons are essential tools in an elementary ELA classroom. However, for some students, the actual process of hand-writing an assignment is what keeps them from being able to participate in class. Whether the motor skills required are underdeveloped, handwriting is too messy to read, or something else is impeding the student's ability to write, there are a number of different handwriting supports to help these students.
