Because of the size of this project, I have been working on it with every free moment I have. As a result, the smaller, more computer based components are getting done before the large physical ones like building the door, adding the ceiling and floor, and bringing in larger components like the platform and desk. I am also behind on those components because they largely depend on other people to access and transport them and those people haven't been available.
I just want to be clear that, while some aspects of my milestones might be off from what I'm actually doing, things are getting finished regardless, just in a different order that depends on what I can get done in the moment.
working on getting the puzzle modules built and wired - I am about halfway done with two puzzles
working on getting the locks working - instead of keys, I have a tool with replaceable bits that are unlocked progressively, and are used to unlock other compartments to further the story. Currently dealing with an issue from 3D printing, which I have solved and just have to print a test for.
have a lasercut compartment that locks and unlocks using this system
have basic P5.js code done (visual for game), working over serial with basic arduino code.
have a basic electronic setup, with buttons as a stand in for puzzles, but hasn't fully been wired yet
get the locking system to work
3d print more locks and tool bits
lasercut one of the puzzles and the components for the other puzzle I have been working on
lasercut more compartments
I would like to get the pieces for the floor and install them - depends on availabilty of other people (my car is tiny) and on where I can find the cheapest options
get the electronics working with the arduino code and the P5.js code
have some visuals, working compartments, working tool for unlocking, and some parts of puzzles for people to give feedback on
