On the first day we explored crayon resist by reviewing where to find the 4 videos and watching 1 that the class choose. Students were given one color to practice watercolor painting skills and proper clean up with paint. By the second day many students had reviewed the different options and were prepared to use two different colors. To extend the crayon resist skill, I showed off how they can make crayon resist without paint as I did with my son. Then students were given time and freedom to chose what they wanted to draw with crayon and practice painting skills with two colors.
