Frequently Asked Questions
🌻 Why are you charging for maternity care now?! You used to be free?
▶ I am going to be incredibly straight here. For three, almost four years, I have indeed offered free care to those who sought it. Unfortunately, that burned me out on a regular basis - working for tips, a lot of the time I did not get a single linden for my work. This included free graphics for ultrasounds, birth certificates and more.Â
I enjoyed my work, but I started to feel that I was being taken advantage of. So the packages came into being - one free, of course, for those who cannot afford care beyond the baby they save up for and its needs. This is the most basic, simple package I can offer. Beyond that, I'm afraid I cannot - and will not - offer more for free.
                Â
🌻 What are your prices for being a patient?
▶ Basic Universal Care is free! With this, you get two prenatal visits and a birth, with a custom birth certificate. I do charge for other packages which offer more - see the packages page.
    Â
Â
🌻  Will you scan my Mama Allpa HUD please?
▶ Yes, but there are conditions to it. Firstly, you must be past day 25 on your HUD. Otherwise, a pregnancy will not even be registered on the scan. Secondly, if you want me to give you all the information, I will most likely ONLY take you as a patient at week 20 - knowing beforehand spoils the RP and makes it far less enjoyable for me as an avid roleplayer. However, if you only want to know that you are pregnant, then I am more than happy to set you up.

🌻  What services do you provide?
▶ If you choose to become one of my patients, you will get a full roleplay experience, including prenatal visits, ultrasounds and a beautiful birth experience no matter what package you choose.
Â
🌻 Do you accept pregnant men or furries as new parents in your clinic?
▶ Yes, I do! There is no judgement here at Ar Teaghlach Medical no matter which doctor you choose - we only require human settings on your HUD - that is, a 28 day cycle and a 280 day gestation length. If you need help to adjust your HUD to reflect this, let us know as soon as you make your appointment - that way, we can fix it for you if need be and your pregnancy can continue as normal.
    Â
Â
🌻  How do I book an appointment with you?
▶ Simply go to our booking page and choose a date and time that suits you. Read the rules on the page first, and please, PLEASE don't message us saying just "hi" - we don't know whether you're hoping for a doctor or are simply asking a question. Give a detail or two so we can answer appropriately.
    Â
Â
🌻  Do you use voice in the clinic RP?
▶ Only if you would prefer it. Our own preference is to type - Neither Dr Tam or Dr Rory will use voice - so that it can be copied into a notecard to keep as a memory.
    Â
Â
🌻  May I bring family to my appointments?
▶ Yes, you may. However we do ask that they use the chairs provided so that we're not tripping over them while we carry out our appointments, and that they be careful of their scripts and complexity - over 300k complexity is a drain on everyone's CPU.
    Â
Â
🌻  Do you provide babies to take home after the birth?
▶ No, those are for you to buy and set up yourselves. We're happy to point you to our favorite stores. In very special cases we will provide a generic baby - however, these are unscripted except for a basic hold and we will not give you these for free - they are L$150 each.
    Â
Â
🌻  My partner and I broke up and I don't want this baby anymore. How can I stop the pregnancy?
▶ We do advise thinking about it for a few days before coming to a hard decision. Sometimes couples make up and there's a whole lot of regret on ending a pregnancy prematurely. If you still want to end your pregnancy after you've thought about it, we will give you step-by-step instructions.
    Â
Â
🌻  Do you provide birth certificates?
▶ Yes, we do! These are all custom graphics and are free with Basic Universal Care.
    Â
Â
🌻  What if the HUD scan says something different to what I actually want?
▶ No problem. Just let us know - there's a section in your New Patient form that will allow you the choice.
