Tessellation

Alhambra palace is an amazing example of Islamic architecture in Spain which inspired M.C.Escher's tessellation explorations and continues to awe visitors (like our own Mrs. Tarantino)!  Many students really love this creative geometric challenge, and we are all amazed by the amount of time and effort it takes craftspeople to build these elaborate mosaics.
