ASM 4M0 Media Art – College/University

Grade 12 Media Art is a mixed college/ university credit in which students who have successfully completed Grade 11 Media Art (ASM 3M0 – College/Univeristy) are recommended to take. As students in this course will already have a comfortable and sufficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign, much of the course is designed for the students to focus more on concepts and creativity. Students will be assigned theme-specific projects that will allow them to showcase their originality and abilities as digital photographers, digital painters, and graphic designers. As a senior academic course, students are expected to carry themselves in a professional and responsible manner, managing their time, resources, and relationships. Additionally, students are expected to push themselves to think beyond the obvious and be innovative with their digital art. Students who are considering pursuing a post-secondary education in design, graphic design, fashion, architecture, game design, etc. are recommended to take this course.
