ASM2O Media Art – Open Level

If you are interested in art & design and enjoy using the computer, this course is for you. In this open-level course, students will be introduced to using technology as an expressive tool to manipulate and create photos and images. Students will develop the skills in producing digital photographs and animations using the industry standards for graphic design (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator). Topics include: Digital Photography, Psychology of Graphic Design, Photographic Manipulations and Digital Animation. Developing proficiency as an effective visual communicator will be the focus of this course through creating, interpreting and analyzing media works.

Students who successfully complete this course are recommended to further their studies by taking ASM 3M0 (Grade 11 Media Art – College/University).
