Follow our social media pages for daily content on how to use archaeology in your teaching
✔ Curriculum-aligned, not gimmicky
Workshops are carefully tailored to age, level and learning objectives — from Early Years curiosity and sensory exploration to GCSE and A-level source analysis and interpretation.
✔ Active learning that builds thinking skills
Pupils don’t just “do an activity” — they handle evidence, make observations, debate interpretations, and learn what archaeology can and can’t tell us.
✔ Inclusive and adaptable
Suitable for mixed-ability classes, SEND provision, home-educated learners, and enrichment days. Sessions can be adjusted for time, space and group size.
✔ Grounded in real research
We translate cutting-edge archaeological research into language pupils understand — without dumbing it down.
We believe in the power of archaeology to engage pupils from Early Years to A level, and our workshops can be tailored to suit a wide range of ages and learning objectives.
Early Years & KS1
Exploring objects, materials, stories and sensory experiences to spark curiosity about the past and introduce children to the idea that objects can tell stories.
KS2 & KS3
Hands-on workshops — digging, artefact handling, weaving, pottery and metalworking simulations — paired with guided discussion about evidence, interpretation and change over time.
GCSE & A level
Focused sessions on sources, material culture, bias, uncertainty and historical reasoning, designed to strengthen exam skills and support deeper historical understanding.
