Follow our social media pages for daily content on how to use archaeology in your teaching
My name is Dr Thea Ravasi, and I am a classical archaeologist, academic, and former museum curator with over twenty years of experience teaching in museums, schools, and workshops, and more than a decade at university level in the UK and Italy. I combine active academic research with extensive hands-on teaching experience, allowing me to translate current scholarship into clear, practical strategies that work in real educational settings. My approach focuses on using archaeology and material evidence to make the past dynamic, accessible, and thought-provoking, helping educators move beyond outdated narratives and develop pupils’ curiosity and critical thinking. Through my CPD courses, I provide not just ideas, but effective tools and ongoing support to help teachers confidently bring archaeology into their classroom practice.
