The name of the game is Dealer's Choice, so don't worry about not knowing the odds or how to play. There are a lot of books on how to bet on 7-card stud. As far as I know, there aren't any for Anaconda or Zombie Apocalypse, so it's a level playing field.

What do folks like to play?
I have enough chips and seating for 7 guests, first-come, first served. There is a wait-list, should life intervene. If you're interested but can't make it, let me know and I'll keep you on the future invite list. If poker's really not your thing, let me know and I'll take you off the list.
Date & Time: Show up any time after 7:45 PM, play begins at 8:00. Please DO NOT RING THE DOORBELL - the boy is asleep! Call up instead (617-628 8953).
The final hand of the evening will be the first one dealt after midnight, though if folks want to keep playing, that time can be shifted. Anyone can cash out earlier if midnight is too late.
Location: 5 Glenwood Road, Somerville MA. Any online mapper will likely give you better directions than I would, and the new Green Line stop is only few blocks away.
Parking: We have in driveway parking for one and street permits for two, for a total of 3 spots. Please contact me to reserve them.
Food: If people bring snacks and drinks, there will be snacks and drinks. This is encouraged, but not mandatory. If the spirit moves me, I may cook.
Drinks: Alcohol is permitted, but it's about the cards, folks. Drink too much and we'll win all your nickels.
Natural Hazards: We have a 3 cats and one kid. The kid will be asleep, so we'll have to keep at a reasonable volume. We will stock Wal-itin (Walgreen's Claritin) for the allergy-prone.
First rule: Poker is fun, so don't take these rules too seriously; they were written with the intention of keeping the game fair and fun and to codify how we handle certain unusual situations, please read them with that in mind.
Buy in: $10, cash, preferably in $1s and $5s. We play with chips, then cash out at the end of the evening.
Rebuy: Allowed at anytime from the bank or from other players.
Order of play: Dealer's choice of game, with deal going around the table, starting with the host and rotating to the left. Anyone may sit out a given game if they choose. The Dealer is required to explain the rules of any game, if asked.
Ante: 5 cents
Maximum bet: 50 cents
Raises: Maximum 50 cents, limit of three raises per betting round, check-raises allowed.
Wild cards: In case of a tie, Natural beats Wild. Also, Wilds can be any card, even cards in play - this means if you have an Ace of Spades and 4 wild cards, you can have 5 Aces of Spades.
Low hand: Low is 6-4 (lowest possible hand is 6-4-3-2-1, unsuited.) In high-low games an Ace can be high or low. However, a pair of Deuces is still the lowest pair, i.e. multiple Aces can only go high.
No pot matching games or blind bets. This means if someone calls Texas Hold'em, there will be a standard ante.
Cards and chips may never leave the table. Keep your cards on the table. Keep your cards and chips visible to all players.
Bet when it is your turn, fold when it is your turn. Jumping ahead of another player can change the course of the game.
Calling the same game every time is discouraged.
If a cat jumps on the table, play will halt until the cat is removed.
