House Rules
The name of the game is to have fun. To that end, I like to get a couple of things clear from the get-go.
Players get spotlight time. This is part of the whole story, and deserves as much attention as your own spotlight time. To that end, the only use of electronic devices during game is for looking up game material. Please be good actors and audience.
Random tangents are fine, as long as they are not disruptive.
If you can't make a game, inform the GM as soon as you know. We're on a short time slot, so try not to be late.
As practical, I may NPC your character, if necessary for the story - no NPCed character will die.
No rules arguments during the game, please. If I say to table it, it stays tabled and settled before the next game, with either an appropriate retcon or compensation.
Let's not let the rules get in the way of a good story. Use your Craft: Calligraphy to Sense Motive. Use your Etiquette to speak with spirits. Use your excellent martial skills to exorcise a ghost in a sword-dance challenge. Make the story awesome. (this has since been codified as the Rule of Cool)
