Mobile Giving

After careful analysis of the best provider, I introduced Greater Giving's mobile bidding platform at the Seneca Waterways Council's annual LobsterFest gala in 2016. The platform gave guests the ability to place bids (and rebids) from their tables through their mobile device and resulted in a nearly 50% increase in our silent auction. We were able to introduce offsite bidding this year for guests who were unable to attend LobsterFest but still wanted to bid in the auction.

I have worked to modernize Council efforts by adopting online strategies to increase giving through Friends of Scouting and special events.

My vision is to make use of current (and budding) technologies to support Scouting's mission. We have adopted Scouting Gives as our Council's online payment platform and worked to streamline donor reminders to be able to pay electronically. As a result of my leadership, we reduced the annual pledge loss rate (write-off) from a budgeted 12.4% in 2016, to a real 8.4% as of the end of 2019.
