Anthony B. Vogl

Scout Executive Candidate

Thank you for considering me as a candidate for Scout Executive of Green Mountain Council. My wife Nicole and I are incredibly excited to visit with you and I look forward to sharing my vision for expanding opportunities for Scouting.

I currently serve as Director of Development with the Seneca Waterways Council where my team has helped us exceed $1 million in direct support revenue for the first time in Council history this year. Along the way, I have worked with a wide variety of volunteers and professionals, each of whom has helped prepare me for this next step in my career.

As a native Vermonter, I experienced some of the very best that Scouting has to offer. I was a Cub Scout in Colchester's Pack 618 and earned my Eagle Scout rank in Burlington Troop 50. I worked on camp staff at Mount Norris Scout Reservation, attended a National and World Jamboree (1995) and led my Troop on a trek at Philmont. With the exception of six months out of college working as a copy editor, I have had the privilege of furthering the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Throughout my career, I have been involved in just about every aspect of Scouting with the most recent focus being on growing the resources needed to expand our impact.

My proudest moment was having the Eagle medal pinned upon my chest, and a close second was pinning the Bobcat badge on my oldest son.

My personal mission is to ensure that every young person can experience the same incredible high-quality program that I had as a youth and that my family has in Scouting.

I am grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to meeting you soon.
